F:\DPF\Wednesday News\South Windham Raven Poe Presentation # 248 Oct 13 2009\On Wednesday evening, at the Guilford Smith Memorial Library in South Windham, a presentation about the bird - the Raven,  was given by Kasha and Bob Breau of Marlboro, CT. Kasha Breau is a wildlife rehabilitator who works for the Connecticut Audobon Society. In the photo she is holding a talking Raven puppet. In addition to speaking about the bird itself she spoke of the far reaching influence of the Raven in history and the arts. They are one of the most intellignt birds and belong to the Corvid family, as do crows and Blue Jays. This traveling program was sponsored by the Bushnell Center for the Performing Arts in Hartford, as part of the celebration of the Edgar Alan Poe Centennial.\Al Malpa
