All teachers were given the book "The Golden Rule" by Ilene Cooper wrapped in gold wrapping paper Wednesday and read the same book to their classrooms throughout the day. Additional activities will follow throughout the year pertaining to the book and the message of the golden rule, "do onto others as you would have them do unto you". Students who follow this golden rule will be awarded throughout the year with golden tickets. Here Kindergartners Lemmie Mateo and Melody Pagan unwrapped the book and showed it to their class. Two proved to be quite large and both pine trees. This one came down over a power line on Bassets Bridge Road. Here Nelson Bridges, cleans up his yard. The tree, luckily, fell towards the road near a corn field and not towards his home. The tree is located on his property.
