Annie Kate Roberts, 2, right, reads Dr. Suess?s ?Wacky Wednesday? aloud to her friend Addison Kopczynski, 3, on Friday in Annie Kate?s mom?s first grade classroom at Sutton Elementary School. Rachael Roberts said she choose to stay home with her two girls Annie Kate and Gracie, 7, far left, but knew she wanted to eventually teach. ?I was going to wait until (Annie Kate) was in school,? Rachael said, ?but when I saw there was a first grade position open (at Sutton Elementary) ... I felt this job was for me.? Rachael said she?s been putting in lots of hours giving her classroom a fun look. ?I?ve been at home for four years and I?ve always dreamed about what my room would look like ... so I?ve had a lot of time to think.? Sutton will have registration for first- through fourth-graders on Monday from noon till 6 p.m., and Rachel said she plans on spending the weekend putting some finishing touches to her classroom. ?I love polka dots,? she said, ?it?s like a polka dot explosion in here.? Also pictured is Carter Kopczynski, 4, second from left.

Beaver Dam Elementary School sixth-graders Jacob Hohimer, from left, Jason Taylor and McCord Thomas read crumpled pieces of paper during a 'getting to know your classmates' exercise on Tuesday in Kristi Hall's classroom at the new school. The students first filled out a questionnaire which asked a variety of questions including what type of vehicle the students use for transportation, the name of their favorite musical group and how many people are in their families. After filling out the questionnaire the students wadded up their papers, threw them toward the front of the classroom and then went and picked a wadded paper out of the pile. Next each student read aloud the paper they chose and tried to guess which of their classmates answered that questionnaire.
