113 years of Lewis Legacy
East End Arts Council executive director Pat Snyder (left) introduced Pulitzer Prize winning photographer Matthew Lewis to the audience before he gives his talk in the gallery Saturday morning where he speaks about his life?s work. Mr. Lewis is the third generation of Lewis' photographers. His grandfather, Harvey James Lewis, the son of indentured servants, srting making picture postrcards in 1896. His son Kevin Lewis, of Port St. Lucie, Florida is th fourth generation. Six photos by Mr. Lewis were  offered in a silent auction Friday night during the opening recption of the juried photography exhibit "Secrets". The Matthew Lewis photography exhibit is presented through the generosity of The Second Star Foundation and  BNY Mellon Wealth Management.

East End Livestock and Horsemen's Association member Paul Grippa owner of Old Sound Stables of Mattituck (left) and president Ron Chuvalas of Aquebogue cook up hamburgers and hot dogs for the group's annual picnic held at the Naugles Barn at Hallockville Museum Farm last Thursday evening. The 200 member group raises money for college scholarships and their horse rescue program.
