Artist Elaine Thompson of Bohemia in her booth at the Summer Flea Market abd Crafts Fair Saturday afternoon at the Big Duck Ranch in Flanders. She created an original oil painting of the Big Duck in the impressionistic style of painter Vincent van Goth. Her painting was chosen by Southampton Town officials to be put on a flag to fly over the Big Duck Ranch. Proceeds from the market and fair will be used to make lighting and landscaping improvements to the Big Duck.

Sound Symphony music director Dorothy Savitch started the concert with four movements from the opera 'Carmen'. All the pieces they played Friday night at Pulaski Street Elementary School auditorium followed the theme 'Take Me Out to the Ball Game'. The Sound Symphony just celebrated their 25th anniversary. The performance is part of the Riverhead summer concert series sponsored by Townscape Inc..
